My Rant Before my Nervous Breakdown

 I get the kids breakfast
I make sure they have money for lunch or pack their lunches
I make sure all paperwork is signed in their bookbags
I dig through their bookbags for "lost" homework and go through their binders for stuff they "forgot" to tell me about
I make sure they do their homework and help them if I can
I make sure they have brushed their teeth, washed their face and aren't wearing week old dirty clothes
I listen to them complain about school
I take stuff to them at school when they forget it
I change the sheets on the beds and the pillowcases
I vacuum the rooms, under the furniture sometimes too
I make the bed
I get the kids, sometimes, to make their own beds
I make the boys clean their own bathroom, until I have to clean it because I can only handle their version of clean for so long
I make a fire
I cut kindling if I don't have any
I get the boys to bring wood in
I take the dog out
I clean dog crap up outside
I clean dog crap up inside
I dust the house
I rearrange stuff so I can find stuff that I don't want anymore and get rid of that stuff
I put clothes in the wash
I put clothes in the dryer
I fold clothes and I put these clothes away so your clean underwear and socks are there when you need them
I load the dishes in the dishwasher, or unload the dishwasher, and then refill it and wash the ones by hand that won't fit
I clean the counters with disinfectant
I clean the toilet, tub bathroom counter and sink
I make sure the kids clothes still fit and make note of what they need and get rid of what they don't
I feed the cat
change the litter box
I feed the dog
I clean the cat and dogs dishes
I wipe things down with dirty handprints, the walls and chairs........
I do windows.....at least on the inside
I water the plants when I can remember and take the dead leaves off
I plant flowers outside...sometimes...
I even sometimes remember to water them
I find stuff for everyone in the house...and just "remember" where everyone else's stuff is
I ask if there is anything you need me to do
I make phone calls for you and the kids
I set up kids playdates..sometimes taking them there and picking them up
I get groceries and plan supper
I do dishes
I put on bandaids and clean up blood
I clean up puke
Cat, dog and human
I keep track of the bills and try to pay them on time
I run to pay bills I can't pay online
I make doctor, dentist and haircut appts and take each one to these appts.
I try to get to know their teachers
I go to parent teacher, with you or alone
I do dishes
I pick up garbage, clean out garbage bins and take garbage out to the shed
I sort bottles and take these to the recycling depot
I clean the fridge
I clean behind the fridge and on top of the fridge
I clean the stove
I clean behind and on top of the stove
I try to keep the inside of the cupboards clean and organized
I fight with the kids about the computer and the PS3
I listen to them talk about their friends and their teachers
I listen to them
I take the dog to the groomer
I make appts and take animals to the vet
I do dishes
I shop for birthday parties and plan the attendance
I help with their invitations
I order their cake or I make it
I know what they want because I ask them and write it down
I mow
I rake
I shovel
I organize closets
I change the dogs blankets and wash them
I look after the picture taking of pretty well every event
I keep track of the pictures
I go to the bank and post office
I clean off the deck and get stuff ready for snow
I gas up the car
I check the oil
I make appts for the car for maintenance and I take it to be serviced, sometimes sitting there for hours at a time
I ask you how your day was and listen to your work troubles
When I worked, I did that, and all this too
I plan for us to go to the movies or social events
I plan the babysitters when we needed them
I plan surprise birthday parties and try to keep them secret
I plan for Christmas and make lists that we never really stick too
I do dishes
I vacuum and clean the car with armoral
I pick up garbage that's blown around outside when I can
I clean the gross stuff out from under the couch cushions and chairs
I wipe down the table and chair legs because they get gross from animal hair and spilled milk
I pick over toys and get rid of what's not wanted
I wipe down the baseboards and heat registers
I do dishes
This list could go on, I'm sure

And above all else I try to make you happy. Be respectful, keep you informed of what's going on with the kids when I can, be appreciative for all that you do, hope to make you feel loved

So when I'm asked what I do all day, (and, of course, not all of this stuff is done every single day)
I want to list this
For my own satisfaction

So, you'll have to forgive me, if kissing your ass was not on my fucking list today
